If you have questions about Bunny's Gym or any of Bunny's martial arts programs, including Bunny's Children's MMA, please don't hesitate to contact us via the Contact Us form. A school representative would be glad to assist you in any way they can. The following FAQ may cover some of the questions you may already have. Please look them over and see if they help.

Is it safe?

Our Children's MMA program is safer than most other sports. As noted in this report by Safe Kids Worldwide on annual serious youth sports injuries, in an article in USA Today (bold and italics ours):

Football resulted in both the highest number of all pediatric injuries (394,350) and the highest concussion rate (40 per 10,000 athletes). Wrestling and cheerleading had the second- and third-highest concussion rates (15 per 10,000 athletes and 12 per 10,000 athletes, respectively).

The children are well-supervised while sparring and wear proper protective equipment to ensure their safety. Further, we at Bunny's Gym treat every child as though they were our own. That alone means we do everything we can to ensure every single child's complete safety in our school.

What do the children learn?

The students learn a mixture of martial arts, from ground self-defense to standing self-defense forms. It is a very effective method of "bully-proofing" your child. Besides mere physical prowess, our students gain the mental and emotional confidence to cope with whatever life throws at them. Learn more about what we teach in our MMA classes here on the Services page.

Has anyone ever been hurt?

No. No child has ever been hurt in all the years of Bunny's Children's MMA.

Will my child be forced to fight?

No. Sparring is voluntary and no child is ever asked to do something he or she doesn't want to do.

Will my child have to spar with students much larger/older than he or she?

No. As stated above, no child is ever asked to do something he or she doesn't want to do.

What are the class requirements?

Each prospective student must be 5 years to 13 years of age. 14 years and up are considered on a case-by-case basis but usually are enrolled in our adult MMA class.

How much does it cost?

Contact us via telephone or our Contact Us page for our class rates. We assure you our rates are more than reasonable and are usually lower than any of our competitors' fees, and what we offer for our price makes it double the value for your money.

I'm putting out money, how do I know my child is getting the best MMA education and experience money can buy?

Master Bunny Hawkersmith's background and education in the martial arts speak for themselves. See his bio here for more on what he brings to the table every time he steps foot in the classroom. A solid education begins with a solid foundation, and our school has been in the same location here in Winchester, Tennessee for 37 years, teaching generation after generation of tomorrow's leaders how to face any and all challenges. Also, your child has the full backing of the United Fighters Alliance and the opportunity to achieve rank in an ISKA-recognized bar system, all overseen by Masters with a combined 100+ years of experience in martial arts.
